Romania expands natural gas infrastructure in Vâlcea and Bihor

Natural gas infrastructure projects are advancing in several Romanian counties. In Vâlcea County, the project to introduce natural gas to the communes of Șirineasa, Pesceana, Glăvile, and Scundu has reached the bidding stage. Two associations—one led by DAM CONSTRUCT SRL and another by CIS GAZ SA—have submitted offers for the contract, which is estimated at over 55 million lei. The procedure is currently suspended pending clarifications.

In Bihor County, the expansion of the natural gas transport network has entered the design phase. Plans involve two main pipelines: the Căpâlna–Ceica line, estimated at 23 kilometers, and the Beiuș–Căbești line, measuring approximately 12 kilometers. Transgaz representatives are working with local authorities to determine optimal routes and the placement of pressure regulation stations. The goal is to complete the county's main pipeline expansion by the end of 2027.
