Romania hosts cultural events honoring the Brâncoveanu Holy Family

Cultural and religious events are being organized in Romania to honor the memory and legacy of Saint Voivode Constantin Brâncoveanu and his family.

In Deva, the Drăgan Muntean Cultural Center and the Deva City Hall will host ‘The Days of the Holy Brâncoveanu Family’ from September 21 to 23, 2026. The program, themed ‘Faith, Culture, Education, Art, History,’ includes theater, film, conferences, and exhibitions designed to engage both adults and children in exploring Romanian history and values.

Additionally, a manifestation titled ‘History that Sanctifies the Place. The Holy Brâncoveanu Family’ was held on September 17, 2026, at the Vâlcea County Council. This event focused on the spiritual and cultural heritage of the family, specifically highlighting the canonization of Lady Maria Brâncoveanu by the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church. Archbishop Varsanufie of Râmnic noted that her recognition invites researchers and the public to rediscover a spiritual legacy that has remained vital to the Romanian people for centuries.
