Romania hosts EuroVolley 2026 and Cupa Timișoara basketball

Romania is hosting significant international and regional sporting events this September. In Cluj-Napoca, the BT Arena will serve as a venue for the EuroVolley 2026 men's European Championship. The Romanian national team will debut in Group D on September 9 against Latvia, followed by matches against Switzerland, Germany, Turkey, and France through September 16.

In Timișoara, the 20th edition of the Cupa Timișoara basketball tournament is scheduled for September 2-4. The competition features SCM Politehnica Timișoara, CSU Sibiu, and the Hungarian team KTE Duna-DTKH Aszfalt Kecskemet.
