Romania hotel rates rise for autumn school holidays

Romanian hoteliers are adjusting prices for the upcoming autumn school holiday, scheduled from October 24 to November 1, 2026. According to tour operator Group4Travel, many establishments have increased rates by 10% to 15% compared to the previous year, though some units have maintained prices or even lowered them by including services like spa access or free stays for children in the base rate.

Accommodation offers for two people for three nights start at 544 lei, with many options remaining under 1,000 lei, excluding meals and optional services. In premium locations, such as a 5-star hotel in Sinaia, rates including breakfast can reach 3,161 lei per room.

Key destinations for the autumn break include Valea Prahovei, Călimăneşti-Căciulata, and Băile Felix. Industry representatives noted that a current challenge is encouraging tourists to opt for multi-night stays rather than single-day excursions by offering attractive packages that include meals and leisure facilities.
