Romania issues travel advisory for Kosovo amid planned protests

The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a travel advisory for citizens in or traveling to Kosovo due to planned large gatherings in Pristina on Wednesday, September 16. These demonstrations are expected to cause traffic congestion and disruptions to public transportation.

The protests are linked to upcoming war crimes verdicts involving former Kosovo President Hashim Thaci and three other former commanders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (UCK). The individuals face charges related to the 1998-1999 conflict against Serbia.
