Romania launches local waste collection drives in Timișoara and Bistrița

RETIM Ecologic Service, in partnership with ADID Timiș, will run a free textile‑waste collection campaign in Timișoara from 1 July to 5 August 2026. Residents may drop off clean, dry items such as clothing, bedding, small rugs, curtains, mops and other textiles, with a maximum of 60 kg per participant.

In Bistrița and surrounding localities, the blue bin for paper and cardboard will be collected on 8 July 2026. The sanitary operator Supercom will pick up only paper‑based recyclables, advising residents not to mix waste streams and to use transparent bags. Both initiatives are part of municipal efforts to improve recycling and environmental responsibility in Romania.
