Romania launches tourism campaign in Spain via Seville tram
The Romanian Ministry of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship and Tourism has launched a tourism promotion campaign titled ‘Rumanía inspira’ in Spain. From October 5 to November 1, 2026, a tram fully wrapped in images of Romanian landmarks will operate on the Metrocentro route in Seville, passing through central areas such as Plaza Nueva and Avenida de la Constitución.
The campaign features eight iconic Romanian sites, including Sarmizegetusa Regia, the Danube Delta, Peleș Castle, and the Transfăgărășan. Notably, the tram displays ‘Masa Tăcerii’ (The Silence of the Table), a work by Constantin Brâncuși photographed by local artist Cristi Caval. A QR code on the tram provides access to a promotional brochure in Spanish.
Spain currently ranks eighth among the top countries for tourists traveling to Romania. The Ministry estimates the campaign will generate approximately 71.7 million advertising exposures over its four-week duration.
