Romania marks major military anniversaries and commemorations

Various commemorative events are being held in Romania to mark significant military milestones. In Țicleni, Gorj County, a ceremony was organized to honor the 110th anniversary of Romania’s entry into World War I. The event paid tribute to soldier Ecaterina Teodoroiu, a symbol of courage, and the 119 heroes from the Țicleni locality who fell during the war.

In Buzău, the 2nd Infantry Division ‘Getica’ is celebrating 110 years of military tradition. The anniversary includes a public event on Nicolae Bălcescu Boulevard featuring military equipment exhibitions, airsoft activities, and performances by the Military Music. The event also serves as a recruitment opportunity, providing information on professional development within the Romanian Army.
