Romania merit scholarship deadline set for October 1

The deadline for submitting lists of eligible students for merit scholarships for the 2026-2027 school year is October 1. Class teachers must submit these lists for students in grades VI through XII to their respective school secretariats.

The merit scholarship is set at 450 lei per month. According to the methodology, these funds are awarded to a maximum of 15% of students in each middle and high school class who maintained a grade point average of 9.00 or higher during the previous school year. Eligible students do not need to submit a formal application.

This scholarship amount was established by Government Decision no. 738/2026. Additionally, for the 2026-2027 school year, social and technological scholarships have been set at 300 lei per month.
