Romania national team coach Hagi announces Nations League squad

Romania national football team coach Gheorghe Hagi has announced an extended 48-man preliminary squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures. The team is scheduled to face Sweden, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Poland.

Among the selected players are several individuals currently playing in the Polish Ekstraklasa, including Valentin Cojocaru of Pogoń Szczecin, Otto Hindrich of Legia Warszawa, and Bogdan Racovițan of Raków Częstochowa. Other players with previous experience in the Polish league, such as Tudor Băluță and Deian Sorescu, are also included in the wide list.

Former player Eugen Neagoe has suggested that Louis Munteanu, currently with DC United, is the most likely candidate to start as the primary striker for the upcoming matches, citing his recent form among Romanian attackers.
