Romania updates pension digital services and social benefit schedules
Romania is implementing several updates to its social security and pension systems. The National House of Public Pensions (CNPP) has launched a new digital portal to allow citizens to check their contribution history, simulate future pension rights, and access electronic pension slips (e-Talon) online.
Regarding disability services, new medical-psychosocial criteria allow individuals over 75 who have undergone at least two evaluations to receive permanent, non-reviewable disability certificates, potentially reducing the need for repeated re-evaluations. Additionally, retirees who continue to work and pay social insurance contributions can apply for a pension recalculation to reflect their updated contribution periods.
The National Agency for Payments and Social Inspection (ANPIS) has also released a payment schedule for September. Social assistance benefits, including child allowances and child-rearing indemnities, are scheduled to be transferred starting September 8, with specific dates set for various groups, such as persons with disabilities and those receiving benefits via postal mandate.
