Romania prepares for 13th National Cleanup Day

The Let’s Do It, Romania! Association is organizing the 13th edition of National Cleanup Day, scheduled for September 19. This initiative is part of a global movement occurring simultaneously in over 190 countries.

In Romania, the campaign has seen significant mobilization, with registration numbers reaching over 130,000 volunteers from across the country. The event aims to collect tons of abandoned waste from nature while promoting environmental responsibility. The 2026 theme is “What do you leave behind?”, encouraging citizens to reflect on their daily impact on the environment.

National Cleanup Day has received official recognition through Law 266/2024. The movement involves various participants, including students, families, local authorities, and corporate partners, to foster a culture of environmental accountability.
