Romania expands presence in FTSE Global All Cap index

Following a semi-annual review by FTSE Russell, the number of Romanian companies included in the FTSE Global All Cap index will rise to 10, effective September 21, 2026. The new additions are Aquila Part Prod Com and Cris-Tim Family Holding, joining eight existing companies: Banca Transilvania, Electrica, Hidroelectrica, MedLife, Nuclearelectrica, One United Properties, Teraplast, and TTS Transport Trade Services. Additionally, Electrica will transition into the Large Cap category.

In the FTSE Global Micro Cap indices, Conpet will be newly included, while Simtel Team will depart. Other companies represented in the Micro Cap category include Arobs Transilvania Software and the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

Alexandru Petrescu, Chairman of the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF), and Remus Vulpescu, CEO of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, noted that these developments signal the maturation of the Romanian capital market. They stated that meeting the rigorous liquidity, transparency, and governance criteria of international indices enhances the market's visibility and ability to attract global institutional investors.
