Romania reports multiple traffic accidents involving minors
Multiple traffic accidents involving minors have been reported across different regions in Romania.
In Bistrița-Năsăud, a 9-year-old child riding an electric scooter was seriously injured after being struck by a truck at an intersection involving DN 17. The child sustained severe leg injuries and was transported via SMURD helicopter to a pediatric surgery clinic in Târgu Mureș. The driver of the truck tested negative for alcohol.
In Vrancea, a 7-year-old child on a bicycle was hit by a car in the village of Irești. The minor suffered a traumatic brain injury, chest trauma, and leg injuries, and was taken to the emergency unit in Focșani. The 27-year-old driver tested negative for alcohol.
In Râmnicu Vâlcea, a 14-year-old girl was struck by a car while using a pedestrian crossing on Dem Rădulescu Boulevard. The girl was transported to the hospital for medical care. The 57-year-old driver involved in the incident also tested negative for alcohol.
