Romania road restrictions announced in Dâmbovița and Timișoara
Various road restrictions and closures have been announced across different regions in Romania.
In Dâmbovița County, several sectors of the DJ 714 road are closed due to landslides, specifically between Glod and Peștera, and the Sanatoriul Moroeni – Scropoasa – Zănoaga section. Additionally, a bridge over the Ialomița river at the entrance to the Padina plateau is restricted to vehicles weighing less than 3.5 tons due to structural damage. Other local roads, including DJ 719 and the bridge over the Argeș river at Pătroaia, face weight restrictions or total closures. Authorities advise drivers to exercise caution in areas with landslides or narrow passages.
In Timișoara, traffic restrictions are scheduled to begin on October 21, 2026. These include lane closures on Stuparilor and Tigrului streets for natural gas pipeline replacements requested by Delgaz Grid. Furthermore, the Timișoara City Marathon will cause temporary road closures on October 25, 2026, affecting several major boulevards and squares. Public parking in Piața Iancu Huniade will also be unavailable during the marathon weekend, and additional traffic diversions are planned for Republic Boulevard and Traian Grozăvescu Street due to municipal road works.
