Romanian Education Publishes High School Admission and Teacher Titularisation Results

The Ministry of Education released the results of the computerised high‑school admission process for the 2026‑2027 school year. Out of 119,484 candidates, 99.89 % received a placement, with 62 % admitted to their first‑choice school. More than 500 seats remain unfilled in Bistrița‑Năsăud and roughly 22 % of the total capacity in that county, while technical schools nationwide report around 22 % vacancy rates. Rankings show the highest entry medians in Bucharest schools (e.g., 9.70 at “Gheorghe Lazăr”) and strong performances in Cluj, Hunedoara, Argeș and other counties, with several schools admitting students with grades as low as 1.85 in some technical programmes.

Separate from the admission results, the national teacher titularisation exam was held in several counties. In Argeș, 896 candidates registered, 121 were absent, and 713 papers will be evaluated; results are due 28 July with final allocations on 4 August. Buzău saw 81 absences out of 500 candidates, while Arad reported 796 participants completing the written test. Similar exams took place in other regions, with the same scoring thresholds (minimum 7 for permanent posts, 5 for temporary). All related documents and contest outcomes will be published on the ministry’s portal in the coming weeks.
