Romania experiences multiple utility service outages in June 2026

On 25 June 2026, Rețele Electrice România S.A. scheduled a partial electricity cut in Slobozia between 08:30 and 16:30, affecting several residential blocks and local businesses.

From 23:00 24 June to 23:00 25 June, RAJA SA halted potable‑water delivery for 24 hours in the industrial zones of Midia Năvodari, the Rompetrol refinery area and Corbu de Jos to replace a damaged 800 mm main pipe. Water service is being restored gradually as pressure is rebuilt.

Apa Nova announced cold‑water supply interruptions for modernization work in Bucharest’s Sectors 1, 2 and 6 from 22 to 25 June, listing specific streets and time windows for each area. Residents were advised to limit water use and avoid drinking untreated water until clarity returns.
