Romania tourism: Travelers praise nature but cite food and traffic issues

Foreign tourists have highlighted both the attractions and the challenges of visiting Romania. The diverse scenery, including mountains and forests, offers appeal throughout all seasons, from summer mountain activities to autumn foliage and winter skiing.

However, travelers also noted certain frustrations. One significant issue is the difficulty of finding authentic Romanian cuisine in restaurants that are not specifically geared toward tourists. Additionally, some visitors expressed dissatisfaction with local infrastructure, specifically citing severe traffic congestion that can significantly delay travel times.
