Romania U17 women's team secures victories over Moldova

The Romania U17 women's national team secured two victories during a preparation stage held in September 2026. Following a 4-0 win in their first match, the team completed a comeback in their second friendly against the Republic of Moldova, winning 2-1.

In the second match held at Buftea, Moldova took an early lead in the first minute through captain Polina Mazur. However, after halftime, Romania's coach Ionuț Florea made several substitutions that shifted the momentum. Delia Mihalache, who entered the game at halftime, scored twice—first to equalize in the 50th minute and again five minutes later to secure the lead.

Separately, the Moldova U17 men's team faced challenges in an international tournament hosted in their country, losing 0-3 to Latvia. The goals for Latvia were scored by Rodrigo Laimiņš, Miks Siliņš, and Marsels Māris Galarovskis.
