Romania U18 women's handball unbeaten at Carpathian Trophy before World Championship

Romania's under‑18 women's handball team completed the Carpathian Trophy in Pitești without a loss, recording two victories – 37‑33 over Tunisia and 33‑27 over Japan – and a 20‑20 draw with Egypt. The tournament ran from 23 to 25 July and served as the final preparation ahead of the U18 World Championship, which Romania will host from 29 July to 9 August in Pitești, Mioveni, Râmnicu Vâlcea and Craiova.

The world championship will feature 32 teams; Romania has been placed in Group F alongside China, Kazakhstan and Uruguay. The strong performance at the Carpathian Trophy underlines the host nation’s readiness for the upcoming global event.
