Romania-UK Chamber of Commerce opens regional office in Iasi

The Romania-UK Chamber of Commerce and Industry has officially launched its Iași Regional Office to serve Romania’s North-East region. The launch, held at the Palace of Culture in Iași, aims to strengthen cooperation between Romanian and British business communities.

The initiative seeks to convert the economic potential of the North-East region into concrete opportunities for internationalization, investment, and development. It focuses on facilitating access to commercial partners, investors, and business networks in sectors such as technology, energy, agriculture, and innovation.

This expansion follows the renewal of the Strategic Partnership between Romania and the United Kingdom in March 2023. According to British government data, bilateral trade in goods and services reached £10.2 billion over a 12-month period, representing a 6.4% increase compared to the previous period. Of this total, British imports from Romania amounted to £7.2 billion, while British exports to Romania totaled £3 billion.
