Romania volunteers mobilize for national environmental cleanup

Volunteers across Romania have participated in environmental cleanup actions as part of the “Let’s Do It, Romania!” national campaign. In Maramureș county, organizers reported a record number of participants, placing the region first in the country for volunteer mobilization. The effort included thousands of individuals, such as students, teachers, and local authorities, across 35 registration points.

In Ceamurlia de Jos, Tulcea county, community members mobilized for World Cleanup Day to restore various areas, including the local cemetery. Participants collected diverse waste, including plastic containers, vegetation, and artificial flowers, which were subsequently transported away by tractor to ensure the cleaned spaces remained tidy.
