Romanian Academy and Madrigal Choir Forge Strategic Partnerships with Berlin-Brandenburg Academy and Brukenthal Museum

The National Chamber Choir “Madrigal – Marin Constantin” and the National Museum Brukenthal signed a five‑year strategic partnership covering 2026‑2031. The agreement aims to create interdisciplinary programmes that combine choral music, visual arts, research, education and digital technologies, producing concerts, multimedia installations, films, educational materials and international projects to broaden cultural audiences and promote Romanian cultural diplomacy.

The Romanian Academy and the Berlin‑Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 3 August 2026, witnessed by Academy President Marius Andruh and President Christoph Markschies. The MoU establishes institutional cooperation for academic exchanges, joint research projects and the strengthening of cultural ties, recalling historic links such as the election of Dimitrie Cantemir to the Prussian Academy in 1714.
