Romanian Air Force transfers burn patient to Belgium

A patient suffering from severe burns is being urgently transferred from Romania to Belgium to receive specialized medical treatment. The mission is being carried out using a C-27J Spartan aircraft from the Romanian Air Force, which has been specifically configured for medical transport missions.

The operation was organized at the request of the Department for Emergency Situations (DSU) as part of European cooperation mechanisms for the transport and treatment of patients requiring specialized medical care. The flight path includes stops in Otopeni and Craiova before heading to Charleroi, Belgium. This follows similar recent operations conducted by the Romanian Air Force to transport burn victims to specialized centers abroad.
