Romanian Bacalaureat 2026 exam proceeds with corrected logic test scoring error

A grading error in the Logic section of the 2026 Bacalaureat was identified by a teacher at Colegiul "Ion C. Brătianu" in Pitești; the Ministry of Education quickly amended the answer key, changing the correct response for item 4 from D to B.

On 2 July 2026, the third written exam – the profile‑choice test – was administered in over 400 centres. Around 131 000 candidates sat the exams, choosing subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics for the real profile and Geography, Logic, Psychology, Economics, Sociology, Philosophy for the humanities profile. Access to exam rooms was between 07:30 and 08:30, the test ran from 09:00 for three hours, and strict rules barred mobile phones, notes, and other electronic devices.

Results of the first written papers will be posted on 7 July, with contestations allowed until 10 July and final results on 13 July. Minor‑language students will take a separate Mother‑Tongue test on 3 July.

In parallel, the Timiș County Fire Service set up a temporary office at exam venues to promote fire‑prevention and recruitment among students.
