Romania's 2026 Baccalaureate Exam Results Published

The Ministry of Education released the initial results of the 2026 national Baccalaureate on Tuesday, 7 July. Out of 126,169 candidates who sat the written exams, 94,345 passed, giving an overall promotion rate of 74.8 % – a slight rise from 74.3 % the previous year. For the current cohort the promotion rate is 79.7 %, while candidates from earlier cohorts total a 31.7 % success rate.

Forty‑five students achieved a perfect average of 10, and more than 7,190 individual subject scores of 10 were recorded. The highest tallies were in Mathematics (2,289) and the profile‑obligatory subjects (3,548), with 454 perfect scores in Romanian language and literature. Cluj County led the nation with an 89.9 % promotion rate; other top regions include Brașov, Alba and Iași. Several counties in the south recorded rates below 70 %, such as Giurgiu at 63.4 %.

Students may request to view their papers between 14:00 and 17:00 on 7 July and submit appeals from 14:00 to 18:00 that day, or on 8–9 July. Final results, after any re‑evaluation, will be posted on 13 July.
