Romanian Bacalaureate candidates face final contestation deadline

In Romania, the deadline for high‑school graduates to submit contestations of their Bacalaureate scores is set for 7 July 2026, with final results to be published on 13 July. Candidates may first request to view their written papers and then file a written appeal, either in person at the exam centre or online. After an appeal is lodged, the work is re‑evaluated by a new panel of teachers; if the score changes by more than 1.5 points, two additional examiners review it before a final mark is recorded.

In Gorj County, the last day to file these contestations is today. Over 2,400 candidates took the written exams across nine centres, with a promotion rate of 78 %. The re‑scoring process may raise or lower individual scores, and the corrected results will be posted after all appeals are settled.
