Romanian basketball: FCC UAV Arad wins big while SCM Craiova falls to Sporting Lisbon

In Romanian basketball, FCC UAV Arad secured a dominant 113-41 victory against Politehnica Timișoara in the third round of the Women's National League. Arad maintained a perfect three-for-three record this season. Despite the absence of captain Fota and Daria Toma due to medical issues, the team focused on collective play without dribbling, as instructed by coach Tatiana Gallova. Eva Roman contributed significantly with three triple-pointers, while Jovana Pasic recorded a double-double.

In European competition, SCM Universitatea Craiova suffered a 77-97 defeat against Sporting Lisbon in the second round of FIBA Europe Cup Group C. Playing at the Polivalenta Hall before over 1,500 spectators, the hosts struggled with the absences of Beaubrun and Dishman. This loss follows a recent defeat against Kolossos Rodos, marking a difficult period for the team compared to their previous national bronze-medal season. Craiova is scheduled to face Erokspor Esenler in Turkey next.
