Romanian Liga 2 2026‑27 season schedule announced
The Romanian Football Federation (FRF) held a draw on 22 July 2026 to determine the program for the 2026‑27 Liga 2 regular season. Twenty‑two clubs will compete over 21 stages, with the campaign starting on 1 August 2026 and concluding in February 2027 before a winter break. The first‑round fixtures include Steaua București hosting CSM Slatina, CS Dinamo playing away at CS Afumaţi, Hermannstadt versus CSC Dumbrăviţa, and Unirea Slobozia travelling to FC Bihor. Gloria Bistrița’s full calendar was also released, listing matches such as a home clash with CSC Șelimbăr on 11 August and an away game at Steaua on 8 September. FC Bacău will open the season at home against CSL Ștefăneștii de Jos, while FC Bihor begins away against the relegated side Unirea Slobozia. The schedule sets the framework for promotion playoffs—top six teams will enter a double‑round robin for promotion to Liga 1—and a play‑out system for the remaining clubs, including relegation battles. This unveiling finalises the fixtures for Romania’s second‑tier football league for the next season.
