Romanian Black Sea resorts host major summer music festivals
The 12th edition of the "Zilele Monteorului" festival took place in the Sărata Monteoru resort, organized by the Merei Town Hall. High‑profile artists Marcel Pavel, Johny Romano and emerging star Andrei Bănuță performed on stage, drawing spectators from the local area, other parts of Romania and abroad. The event benefited from favorable weather and coordinated transport, including buses provided by Transbuz.
At the same time, a series of nightly concerts featuring singers Dinu Maxer, Anca Turcașiu and Mihai Trăistariu were staged along the Black Sea coast, especially in Mamaia Nord. The performers reported record tourist numbers, with Trăistariu earning around €30,000 this season. They also highlighted infrastructure strains such as water and electricity interruptions that affected some venues.
Together, the festivals underscore the role of large‑scale entertainment in boosting tourism on Romania’s seaside, despite occasional service challenges.
