Romanian business leaders focus on UK expansion and healthcare investment

Economic leaders in Romania are focusing on international expansion and healthcare infrastructure. The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Timiș (CCIAT) met with the Romanian Ambassador to the United Kingdom to discuss strengthening economic ties and creating new opportunities for Timiș-based companies in the British market.

Separately, the German-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Romania) held a meeting regarding the innovative German pharmaceutical industry in Romania. Participants emphasized that investing in healthcare infrastructure and early diagnosis is essential for economic stability. AHK Romania President Volker Raffel noted that innovation is necessary to drive growth, drawing a parallel between energy investments and healthcare, where failing to address issues early leads to higher long-term costs. Statistics indicate that major non-communicable diseases generate economic losses estimated at approximately 4% of the GDP in Europe.
