Romanian celebrities and journalist relocate to Argeș countryside

Singer Dana Nălbaru and actor Dragoș Bucur have been living in the village of Moșteni‑Greci, Argeș County, for two years. They describe the move from Bucharest as their best decision, tending a large orchard, raising animals and even caring for a pig named Betty, which they rescued and now keep as a family member.

Journalist Răzvan Dumitrescu also left Bucharest for a rural home in Argeș, citing lower living costs, more space and access to clean air. He reports paying virtually no electricity bills thanks to solar panels and notes the presence of wildlife such as bears, wolves and foxes in the area.

Both individuals highlight a growing preference among public figures for a quieter, self‑sufficient lifestyle outside the capital.
