Romanian charity programs deliver school supplies to thousands of children

Around 2,000 preschoolers in Sibiu County will receive a "Ghiozdănelul cu viitor" kit as part of the "Start în educație" programme, a joint effort by World Vision Romania and the OMV Petrom Foundation. The initiative covers 43 vulnerable communities, providing educational materials, parent‑school workshops and training for teachers, and equips 43 kindergartens with the "ABC Grădi" kit.

In Suceava County, the newspaper Graiul Bucovinei has launched the "Dăruiește un Viitor" campaign, running from 4 – 28 August 2026, to collect new or gently used school supplies for children from low‑income families. The drive, coordinated by manager Florin Gheorghe Reziuc, accepts donations at the newspaper’s office in Adâncata and offers pickup or courier services for contributors from other areas.
