Romanian cities implement street washing and waste platform sanitation measures

The Bucharest Sector 2 municipality announced mechanized street washing on Șoseaua Pantelimon, scheduled for Wednesday, 5 August and Saturday, 8 August, urging drivers to move vehicles from the specified sections to allow the cleaning crews to operate.

In Brașov, Mayor George Scripcaru warned the city's waste‑collection firms, Comprest and Brai‑Cata, that payments will be suspended unless they urgently clean and disinfect the waste‑collection platforms, especially during heat‑wave temperatures above 35 °C, to prevent public‑health risks.
