Romanian cities launch waste‑collection centre in Vaslui and free cat‑house program in Cluj

The Vaslui City Hall will build a dedicated centre for collecting construction and demolition waste. Located in the southern part of the municipality near the Muntenii de Jos border, the site will host containers for various material types and offer free drop‑off for residents. Those unable to transport waste themselves can use a paid collection service provided by Goscom Vaslui SA at rates of 69.98 lei/m³ for home pick‑up and 40.64 lei/m³ for depot drop‑off.

In Cluj‑Napoca, the municipality continues a program that supplies small cat houses to community cat colonies. Thirteen requests have been received so far, and the city has earmarked funds for up to 80 units this year. The houses are distributed on a “first‑come, first‑served” basis, include a bag of food, and are cleaned roughly every three months. The initiative complements existing free‑sterilisation campaigns and aims to promote responsible animal care and civic values.
