Romanian cities Vaslui and Oradea launch free bulky waste collection centers
The Vaslui City Hall will construct a 3,000 sqm free waste‑collection centre in the Paiu area, near the planned industrial park. The site will host separate containers for construction debris, old furniture, electrical and electronic equipment, wood and other non‑hazardous waste, allowing residents to dispose of these items at no charge.
In Oradea, the municipality and sanitation operator RER Vest are running a free collection campaign from 8 to 19 June. Residents can schedule a door‑to‑door pickup of bulky household waste such as mattresses, disassembled furniture, floor panels and sanitary fixtures, as well as hazardous waste including paints, solvents, batteries and pesticides. The service operates on weekdays between 9:00 and 15:00, aiming to reduce illegal dumping and improve environmental safety.
