Romanian clinics debut minimally invasive esophageal stent and modern imaging suite

At MedLife Deva in Hunedoara County, doctors performed the region's first minimally invasive esophageal stent placement for a 68‑year‑old patient with a malignant esophageal stricture caused by lung cancer. The procedure, carried out by Dr. Cristian Icodin, was endoscopic, required only sedation, lasted under an hour and enabled the patient to resume oral feeding and continue oncologic treatment.

In Constanța, Oncoria Med highlighted its upgraded imaging facilities, featuring high‑performance Siemens MRI, a 128‑slice CT scanner and advanced ultrasound equipment. The clinic emphasized the expertise of radiology staff such as Dr. Grigorian Mircea and its commitment to precise diagnosis and patient‑centered care.
