Romanian clubs Botoșani and FCSB begin preseason camps
FC Botoșani gathered its squad on 22 June to start preparations for the 2026‑27 Liga 1 season. The team will train in Bulgaria from 22 June to 5 July, playing four friendly matches. Manager Marius Croitoru said the club is not rushing to sign new players, focusing on adding value while prioritising players from its own academy amid tighter finances. He expects a tougher league after stronger promoted sides have returned.
FCSB will hold its pre‑season camp in Venray, Netherlands, from 26 June to 10 July. The Bucharest side has scheduled a friendly against Belgian vice‑champions Royale Union Saint‑Gilloise on 5 July, with a second friendly slated for 8 July. The club has also received a €2.3 million offer for captain Darius Olaru, which could be accepted for €3 million. Austrian‑Romanian striker Raul Florucz remains in the squad.
Both clubs aim to fine‑tune their squads before the domestic campaign begins in July.
