Romanian clubs CFR Cluj and Rapid draw in summer friendlies

CFR Cluj played a second pre‑season friendly in Slovenia, ending 1‑1 against league champions Olimpija Ljubljana. Adrian Păun opened the scoring for the Romanian side before Olimpija equalised late in the match.

In Austria, Rapid Bucharest faced Rapid Vienna at the Forstenlechner Arena and held the visitors to a 0‑0 draw. The Romanians had previously beaten Dinamo Kiev 3‑1 in their first summer friendly. Coach Daniel Pancu fielded a mixed lineup that included new signing Mohammed Kamara. Both clubs have further test matches scheduled ahead of the new season.
