Transilvania International Film Festival's TIFF Unlimited Caravan tours Romania
The TIFF Unlimited Caravan returns for its 17th edition, bringing open‑air film screenings to Romanian cities and communities from July to September 2026. The travelling programme will stop in Breb (July 11‑12), Timișoara (July 17‑19), Petrila and Satu Mare (July 24‑26), Târgu Lăpuș (August 7‑8), Roman (August 29‑30) and Brașov (September 11‑13). Each stop features a mix of Romanian and international titles, including festival award winners and premieres.
The opening night in Breb will show Akinola Davies Jr.’s debut feature *My Father’s Shadow*, set against Nigeria’s 1993 electoral crisis and a 2025 Cannes selection that won a BAFTA debut award, followed by Tudor Cristian Jurgiu’s *De capul nostru*, honoured at the 2026 Berlin International Film Festival. All events are free of charge, with pre‑registration required, and are supported by Romania’s Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova.
Organisers say the caravan aims to broaden access to auteur cinema across the country, offering audiences the chance to watch acclaimed films under the open sky while fostering cultural dialogue.
