Romanian culture and sports gain international and local attention

The documentary ‘The Ultra Runner’, directed by Mila Aung-Thwin, has made an international debut at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film follows the life of ultramarathoner Tibi Ușeriu, highlighting the contrast between his difficult past and his extreme athletic pursuits in locations such as the Arctic.

In Romania, new cultural and tourism initiatives are emerging. In Hobița, the birthplace of sculptor Constantin Brâncuși, a new tourism package titled ‘Weekend on the footsteps of Brâncuși’ has been launched. Hosted at the ‘Acasă la Brâncuș’ guesthouse, the program offers guided walks, local gastronomy, and historical storytelling to connect visitors with the artist's heritage.
