The Romanian Football Federation held the draw for the first round of the 2026/27 Cupa României Betano on 29 July. Thirty‑six matches were scheduled, with clubs from Liga 3 and regional cup winners taking part.

CSM Sighetu Marmației was drawn to travel to AFC Chieșd, while CSM Râmnicu Sărat will host CSM Adjud at its home ground on 29 July at 17:30. Both clubs have recently avoided potential dissolution after financial and administrative difficulties and will compete in the upcoming Liga 3 season as well as the national cup.

The draw confirmed the competition format, with the first‑round winners advancing to a second round on 5 August.
