Romanian Cup round 2 ends 2‑2 as round 3 schedule unveiled

In the second‑round match of the Cupa României held in Șag, Timișul Șag and Unirea Sântana finished level at 2‑2. The home side opened the scoring when Vlad headed in from a corner, while Unirea equalised through a long‑range strike by Denis Boariu. A second goal for Sântana came from a close‑range finish by Darius Burcă, and Timișul restored parity with a powerful shot from Andrei Olaru.

The Romanian Football Federation subsequently released the complete third‑round programme for the 2026‑2027 Cupa României. The slate features 32 fixtures, including matches such as Progresul Mogoșoaia vs Concordia Chiajna, SCM Zalău vs CS Gloria Bistrița, and CS Timișul Șag vs ACSM Reșița, with the round set to begin on 12 August 2026 and concluding with the final on 12 May 2027.
