Moldovan Parliament deputy Gaik Vartanean asked the General Prosecutor to open an investigation into allegations made by municipal councillor and businessman Ion Onța that he was threatened by a person he describes as the godson of the head of the National Investigation Inspectorate (INI), Arcadie Catlabuga. Vartanean said that if the audio recordings posted by Onța are authentic, the prosecutor must verify the case and identify any responsibility.
