Romanian film festivals feature Led Zeppelin documentary and summer season finale
The RROMA Film Festival continues its fourth edition in Brașov, running until September 6. The festival will feature the documentary ‘Becoming Led Zeppelin’, which explores the origins of the legendary rock band. The film highlights how Robert Plant’s Romani heritage influenced the group’s vocal style and their later exploration of acoustic folk and ‘music of the world’. The screening at ASTRA Cinema will include director Bernard MacMahon and producer Allison McGourty.
In Arad, the Arta Cinema is concluding its summer season with a free screening of the dramatic comedy ‘The Best You Can’, directed by Michael J. Weithorn. The film stars Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, marking their first on-screen appearance together in approximately two decades. The story follows the unexpected connection between a security guard and a woman caring for her husband, a former influential politician suffering from dementia.
