Alexandru Nazare marries Maria Mihali in high-profile Bucharest wedding
Romanian interim Finance Minister Alexandru Nazare married Maria Mihali, a folk music singer, in a ceremony held at the Cașin Monastery in Bucharest. The wedding was attended by several prominent Romanian political figures, including President Nicușor Dan.
Kyriakos Pierrakakis, the Greek Minister of Economy and Finance and President of the Eurogroup, served as the best man for the couple. Nazare noted the strong professional and personal relationship between himself and Pierrakakis, highlighting the close economic cooperation between Greece and Romania.
During the wedding reception in the Băneasa Forest, President Nicușor Dan was asked about the formation of the future government. He responded with a smile, stating, “I think we won't be able to refrain,” and noted that they had indeed discussed some politics during the event.
In a separate event on the same day, Ana-Smărăndița Irina, chief of staff to interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, married Valentin Ștefan, the Director General of the Romanian Post, in a private ceremony in Covasna.
