FCSB resolves FIFA transfer ban as Becali discusses title plans
FCSB has resolved its transfer ban imposed by FIFA after paying a 50,000 euro debt to former player William Baeten. Club owner Gigi Becali expressed confidence in the team's ability to win the title, noting plans to acquire 3-4 new players during the winter transfer window to strengthen the squad under coach Laurențiu Reghecampf.
Regarding the Romanian national team, Gigi Becali suggested that head coach Gică Hagi is considering resignation following a string of poor results in the Nations League, including four losses in official matches. Becali claimed Hagi's pride might be preventing him from stepping down immediately.
In other football news, the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) received a 4,000 euro fine for pyrotechnics and verbal abuse during a match against Sweden. Additionally, FIFA released details regarding a 1.15 million euro dispute between Hermannstadt and Estrela Amadora involving the transfer of Ianis Stoica, noting that Estrela Amadora owes 285,000 euros plus interest.
On a personal note, Gigi Becali discussed his commitment to his family's financial stability, mentioning a significant gift for his niece's wedding and his intention to secure the family wealth through legal documentation.
