Romanian football: Șumudică reflects on career and Dinamo's rise

In Romanian football, CFR Cluj coach Marius Șumudică has expressed a desire to temper his historically explosive temperament, noting that past controversies may have cost him opportunities at major Turkish clubs like Beşiktaş. Ahead of the derby against U Cluj, Șumudică acknowledged his opponents' superior budget and recent form, labeling them favorites despite CFR Cluj playing at home.

Meanwhile, Dinamo is experiencing a strong start to the season under Portuguese coach Nuno Campos. Club president Andrei Nicolescu praised Campos as a “finer pedagogue” than his predecessor, Zeljko Kopic, explaining that the coach’s focus on player growth and integration is why he avoids premature discussions about the league title despite Dinamo’s first-place position. Campos credited the team's progress to the players' ability to understand tactical details and improve individually.

Dinamo winger Alexandru Musi is expected to return to action in six to eight weeks following an injury that prevented his first national team selection. He is currently undergoing recovery and expects to be available by November.
