Romanian footballers Chiricheș and Chivu in the spotlight

Romanian footballer Vlad Chiricheș recently discussed his time playing under Carlo Ancelotti at Napoli during the 2018/2019 season. Chiricheș praised Ancelotti’s ability to manage player groups, noting that the manager made every player feel important regardless of their playing time. He described Ancelotti’s leadership as extraordinary, though he noted the manager could be firm when things were not going well.

In a separate sports context, Romanian coach Cristi Chivu faces a difficult return to Rome. Ahead of his upcoming match against AS Roma, media reports highlighted the lingering tension between Chivu and the Roma fanbase. This stems from his controversial 2007 departure from the club to join Inter Milan, an event that resulted in significant hostility from supporters during his previous visits to the capital.
