Romanian footballers Rareș Ilie and Vasile Mogoș make moves in Italy
Romanian footballers are making significant moves in the Italian football leagues. Rareș Ilie, a 23-year-old midfielder, scored his first goal for Mantova in a 2-1 victory against Carrarese during the opening round of the Serie B season. Ilie, who joined Mantova permanently from Nice with a contract lasting until 2029, started the match and secured the win with a shot in the 61st minute.
In a separate development, defender Vasile Mogoș has signed with Bari. After leaving Universitatea Craiova, the 33-year-old returns to Italy to join the club following their relegation to Serie C. Mogoș stated that his decision was driven by the opportunity to work with a former coach and the goal of helping the team achieve promotion, rather than financial considerations.
